Activities at the Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple
There are several groups that meet at the the Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple. These groups are not affiliated with the Temple. The groups rent the meeting room or social hall. The groups that meet at the Temple are connected to the Japanese culture in some fashion.
Aikido of Monterey meets at the Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

The Monterey Bonsai Club meets at the Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple on the third Saturday of each month from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
Bonsai
The Seascribes Calligraphy Guild meets at the Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple on the first Sunday of each month (except for July and August) at 1:00 pm.

Two ikebana groups meet at the Monterey Peninsula Buddhist Temple. The Ohara school and the Sogetsu School.
